Must Have
- Run the accounting function and bookkeeping processes

- Reconcile VAT reports, SEF invoices, and related tax entries
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Experience in a local company that is part of an international group
- Hands-on experience in bookkeeping and reporting
- Supervisory or management experience
- In-depth knowledge of local tax laws and rules
- Confident with financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)

We’re looking for a General Ledger (GL) Manager with strong technical accounting skills, sound judgment, and a clear sense of ownership. You’ll work with experienced finance and legal professionals and help run accurate, compliant, and scalable accounting processes for our Serbian entity.
Key responsibilities:
- Run the accounting function and bookkeeping processes, including both in-house work and outsourced providers.
- Own period closing activities. Work with the GL specialist to ensure correct entries, including bank reconciliations and other key controls.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and prepare statutory financial reports and statements in line with local regulations.
- Ensure correct use of accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Support annual audits and work with the external accounting firm to keep external and internal ledgers aligned.
- Reconcile VAT reports, SEF invoices, and related tax entries, including benefit-in-kind reporting.
- Work with the Payroll, Tax, HR, FP&A, Controlling, and international GL teams to keep processes consistent.
- Provide relevant recommendations to local and group stakeholders on topics related to local operations.
- Identify process gaps and propose improvements that help the function scale.
- Support group finance projects and contribute to cross-company initiatives.

- Has a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Has experience in a local company that is part of an international group.
- Has hands-on experience in bookkeeping and reporting, and can also support process and control improvements.
- Has supervisory or management experience.
- Has in-depth knowledge of local tax laws and rules.
- Is detail-oriented and pays close attention to accurate and precise financial data and reports.
- Is confident with financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
