Account Executive

Join a growing team in Lexington, Kentucky, as a local Sales Account Executive. You will help Central, Southern, and Eastern Kentucky businesses grow by offering customized screen-based advertising solutions, including digital products like Amazon advertising, YouTube, streaming TV, and broadcast television on FOX 56. Responsibilities include cultivating client relationships, identifying advertiser needs, preparing sales presentations, and developing new programs to maximize revenue.

Must Have

• Cultivate new and strengthen current relationships with local direct clients
• Identify advertiser needs and prepare customized sales presentations
• Consult with sales management on opportunities and client needs
• Curate new programs to maximize revenue from existing clients, focusing on business development
• Maintain a customer-friendly attitude and dedication to company requirements
• Be a results-driven, customer-focused, solution-oriented, aggressive self-starter
• Ensure financial budget goals are met using WDKY/Nexstar advertising products
• Proficient in computer applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability to multitask and operate with a sense of urgency
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational and presentation skills
• Confidence to speak with decision makers

As a local Sales Account Executive, you will help Central, Southern and Eastern Kentucky businesses realize growth opportunities by introducing them to customized screen-based advertising solutions. Our cross-screen marketing approach includes, but is not limited to, industry leading digital products such as Amazon advertising solutions, YouTube, all streaming television platforms, targeted automotive products, social media solutions, digital display, custom content opportunities as well as broadcast television on FOX 56.

FOX 56, as a FOX affiliate, is home to best-in-class sports, including the NFL, 2026 World Cup, World Series, NASCAR, College Football, College Basketball, Belmont Stakes and much more! FOX 56 is also home to the only morning newscasts that stay local from 5a-10a, providing maximum local exposure to its advertising partners.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Cultivating new relationships and strengthening current relationships with local direct clients while promoting station/company image and perception.
• Identifying the needs of advertisers and preparing customized sales presentations.
• Consulting with sales management on opportunities and the specific needs of clients.
• Curating new programs to maximize revenue from existing clients with a heavy focus on business development.
• Maintaining a customer-friendly attitude while being dedicated to company requirements and customer needs.
• Being a results-driven, customer-focused, solution-oriented, aggressive self-starter.
• Ensuring all financial budget goals are met by using WDKY/Nexstar advertising products to prospect, develop, maintain, and grow your account/revenue base.

Job Requirements:

• Proficient in computer applications, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
• Ability to multitask and operate with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational and presentation skills.
• Confidence to speak with decision makers.
• Experience in advertising or marketing sales preferred but not required.
