WDKY-FOX 56 News in Lexington, Kentucky, is seeking an Associate Producer for its five-hour morning newscast. Responsibilities include assisting with writing and video editing broadcast content, contributing to editorial decisions, managing breaking news situations, and implementing strategies to engage and expand audiences across various platforms.

Must Have

• Help in writing and video editing of broadcast content
• Contribute to the editorial process and make solid decisions in breaking news situations
• Execute strategies that engage and grow audiences across all devices
• Research production topics using the internet, video archives and other information sources
• Fill-in for Newscast Producers when needed
• Studying Communications, TV/film or equivalent experience
• Understand brand building directives
• Interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production, digital and engineering staff
• Detail oriented
• Excellent verbal, written, grammar and analytical skills
• Ability to develop strong news judgment
• Possess journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectations
• Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods
• Ability to meet quality standards for service & evaluate customer satisfaction
