Job Description

As an Accounts Payable Associate at Wolters Kluwer, you will ensure adherence to accounts payable, bank accounting, and general ledger procedures for European entities. Responsibilities include maintaining vendor master data in SAP, reviewing invoices for proper documentation, chasing approvals for supplier invoices, booking AP invoices, allocating costs to correct budgets, processing invoices and credit notes from third parties and intercompany partners, checking and booking employee expense claims, performing accounts reconciliation, participating in monthly and yearly closures, assisting in the yearly audit process, generating ad-hoc reports, and collecting data for local reports and tax returns. The role requires a proactive, accurate, and organized individual with excellent communication skills and a can-do mentality, capable of taking ownership and driving service improvements.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable
  • SAP FI module experience
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proactive team player
  • Accuracy and attention to detail

As an Accounts Payable Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the team adhere to accounts payable, bank accounting and general ledger procedures for European entities from the designated Business units managed by FSS Cluj-Napoca.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Vendor Master data in SAP (create and change vendor details);

  • Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment;

  • Chase approval from budget owners for supplier invoices and book AP invoices, allocating costs to the correct budget (cost center);

  • Process invoices and credit notes from third party vendors as well as intercompany partners;

  • Check and book employee expense claims;

  • Accounts Reconciliation;

  • Participate in the monthly and yearly closures;

  • Participate in yearly audit process;

  • Ad-hoc reports related to vendors, employees expenses, costs, etc.

  • Collect appropriate data for local reports as well as VAT and income tax returns;

  • Undertake certain work as assigned by management on an on-going basis;

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of experience working in Accounts Payable department

  • Mature experience in Finance/Accounting on a similar position

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software, strong MIS skills

  • SAP FI module experience

  • Fluency in English

  • Proactive team player as well as being able to take own initiatives

  • Accurate and process-thinking

  • Flexible, adaptive, and pro-active

  • Capable of taking additional responsibilities to move to the next level

  • Organized, independent, and self-motivated

  • Of positive attitude with a good can-do mentality

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Be able to take ownership and accountability for work.
