Job Summary
Agoda, an online travel booking platform and part of Booking Holdings, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for its Finance team in Bangkok. This role is crucial for maintaining day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in AR accounts for monthly reporting, and supporting business initiatives. The specialist will drive process enhancements, ensure compliance with US GAAP & SOX, and provide training. The position requires strong AR skills, finance transformation experience, and a proactive mindset to contribute to Agoda's global growth and innovation.
Must Have
- Perform day-to-day AR and revenue-generating activities.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of AR accounts for reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on AR impact of business initiatives.
- Ensure internal control compliance with US GAAP & SOX.
- Drive initiatives to enhance AR programs and processes.
- Review team's work and suggest process improvements.
- Adapt daily tasks to changing business demands.
- Provide training and coaching to team members.
- Handle ad hoc issues and projects.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Finance Transformation, Automation, or Implementation experience.
- 6-8 years in finance operations, risk control, or finance functions.
- Hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
- Solid understanding of accounting standards and internal controls.
- Experience ensuring US GAAP and SOX compliance.
- Excellent computer proficiency, especially Excel.
- Proven ability to manage and coach a small team.
Good to Have
- Experience in online payment processes.
- Knowledge of SQL and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with accounting systems such as Oracle and FloQast.
- Experience working in a multinational or fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to finance transformation projects or process improvement initiatives.
- Experience providing training or coaching to team members and stakeholders.

Job Description - We seek candidates with AR skills beyond credit/collection experience. Responsibilities includes:
- Perform day-to-day activities for accounts receivable and revenue-generating processes
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of accounts receivable accounts for monthly financial reporting
- Work closely with other stakeholders to understand and assess the impact of business initiatives on AR related financial activities
- Ensure the internal control environment in the Company’s operations is compliant with US GAAP & SOX requirements and Company policies
- Drive initiatives to design new and enhance existing programs and processes to ensure the completeness and accuracy of data for financial reporting
- Review the team’s work and processes and suggest improvements on how to enhance the quality of the work especially on accounts reconciliation and analysis
- Respond to constant changes from different business demands and be able to understand how daily tasks need to be adjusted according to these changes
- Provides training and coaching to team members and other stakeholders
- Handle ad hoc issues and projects when required
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Finance Transformation, Automaton or Implementation Experience
- 6-8 years of experience in finance operations, risk control, or finance functions
- Hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
- Solid understanding of accounting standards and compliance in financial & accounting management and internal controls
- Demonstrated experience ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements
- Excellent computer proficiency, especially in Excel
