Job Summary

As a Senior Manager, Credit/Collections and Accounts Receivable at Autodesk, you will lead a global team managing $7 billion USD in annual accounts receivable. This role involves overseeing credit risk, cash collections, worldwide invoicing, cash application, and AR-related audit support. You will drive process improvements, promote AI tool adoption, and manage finance policies, vendor relationships, and high-level customer escalations across diverse global business practices.

  • Partner with Revenue Recognition on collectability questions and stay familiar with ASC 606
  • Understand securitization tools (corporate guarantees, bank guarantees, standby letters of credit)
  • Negotiate effectively with distressed debtors and counterparties
  • Resolve billing disputes and handle high-level customer escalations
  • Four-year degree required
  • 10 years Plus experience in Credit Collection and Accounts Receivable

Position Overview

Sr. Manager, Credit/Collections and Accounts Receivable

As a member of the global Finance team, the Sr. Manager, Credit/Collections and Accounts Receivable will lead a worldwide team responsible for converting $7 billion USD of accounts receivable to cash annually. This role encompasses ownership of three main functional areas and supports every area of the Autodesk business, including direct customer sales, enterprise customers, channel partners, and unintegrated company annual revenue. This position reports to the Director of CFSAR.

Key Responsibilities

Credit and Collections (Customer Financial Services)

  • Deliver on AR/cash collection metrics for Senior Leadership
  • Manage credit risk and oversee collections for various business models
  • Partner internally for cash forecasting

Accounts Receivable

  • Oversee worldwide invoicing, cash application, and audit support for AR-related testing.
  • Drive industry-leading automation rates for cash application
  • Manage write-offs and bad debt provisioning
  • Ensure compliance with US unclaimed property regulations

Technical Operations

  • Lead ongoing process improvements to increase automation and operational efficiency
  • Promote adoption of AI tools across the team
  • Utilize SAP S4 and Salesforce; project management experience is a plus

Global Role Responsibilities

  • Support AR operations for a thriving eStore business with $1B annual turnover; experience with Payment Solution Providers is a plus
  • Manage key vendor relationships with collection agencies and credit reporting partners
  • Partner with Revenue Recognition on collectability questions and stay familiar with ASC 606
  • Understand securitization tools like corporate guarantees, bank guarantees, and standby letters of credit
  • Negotiate effectively with distressed debtors and counterparties
  • Resolve billing disputes and handle high-level customer escalations with confidence
  • Share team results and insights with Senior Leadership on a regular basis

Minimum Qualifications

  • Four-year degree required
  • 10 years Plus experience in Credit Collection and Accounts Receivable
  • Senior-level professional certifications (CCE or CICP) are a plus
  • Experience in the Architectural, Manufacturing, Construction, or Media/Entertainment industries is a plus
