Must Have
- Meet monthly with assigned Project Managers to review projects, forecasts, and risks
- Manage Project Setups and Updates through PSA and SAP Accounting systems
- Maintain accurate consulting project records
- Review revenue and reconcile against forecast
- Provide consistent updates to Project Accounting team on revenue, risks, or non-standard agreements
- Assist in the preparation and validation of quarterly consulting disclosures
- Manage GL Account Reconciliations
- 6+ years of experience working within finance
- Strong Excel skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting

Job Description
Position Overview
This position will require the Project Accountant to work with Autodesk Consulting Project Managers on the financial tracking of Autodesk led consulting projects. The Project Accountant will work with the Project Accounting team to provide updates on project status, escalations, and revenue recognition against forecast. This position will also help support ad hoc projects as needed.
Activities include Quarter Close Disclosures, tracking project expirations, meeting with WW Project Managers to validate revenue forecasts, ensuring revenue is posted according to Revenue Accounting ASC606 guidelines, and managing revenue as compared to forecast.
Ability to overlap some hours of the day during critical time periods such as quarter close, with other locations, will be required.
Responsibilities
- Meet monthly with each assigned Project Managers to review projects, review forecasts, and any project risks
- Manage Project Setups and Updates through our PSA system and SAP Accounting system
- Maintain accurate consulting project records
- Review revenue and reconcile against forecast
- Provide consistent updates to the Project Accounting team in relation to revenue, risks, or non-standard agreements
- Assist in the preparation and validation of quarterly consulting disclosures
- Manage GL Account Reconciliations
Minimum Qualifications
- The ideal candidate should have 6+ experience working within finance
- SAP S/4 and Business Objects experience is preferred
- Strong Excel skills required
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- Prior experience in a high-tech organization with global reach preferred
- Ability to work on cross functional teams, as well as to work independently
- Attention to detail, accuracy, resourceful, analytical, and follow through skills
- Ability to complete projects/reports within established deadlines
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to work in ever-changing, fast-moving environment and be self-directed
