We are seeking an analytical and precise expert with a passion for numbers and statistics to join our team. This role involves contributing to risk analysis, financial modeling, and strategic solution consulting. Key responsibilities include assessing employer liabilities under IAS 19, participating in financial statement audits for insurance companies (IFRS 4, IFRS 17, Solvency II), developing and validating cash flow models for insurance products, valuing and analyzing insurance portfolios, and advising clients on liability valuation, risk management, and accounting standards. You will also engage in financial modeling, M&A projects, regulatory adjustments, and business efficiency improvements, both locally and internationally, while devising innovative solutions with PwC and client teams.
Good To Have:
- Knowledge of Python or advanced data analysis tools (R/SAS/SQL) and use of GenAI tools.
Must Have:
- University degree in mathematics, statistics, finance or related technical fields
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools, especially MS Excel
- Analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems
- Excellent communication skills in Croatian and English

- Knowledge of Python or some advanced data analysis tools (R/SAS/SQL) can be an advantage, as well as the use of GenAI tools.
Your projects will include the following:
- Assessment of employer liabilities under IAS 19 (employee benefits)
- Participation in financial statement audit projects for insurance companies according to accounting standards (IFRS 4, IFRS 17) and Solvency II (capital position, SFRC)
- Development and validation of models for cash flow projections of insurance products
- Valuation and analysis of insurance portfolios
- Providing advice to clients regarding the valuation of insurance company liabilities, risk management, and accounting standards
- Participation in financial modeling projects, mergers and acquisitions, adaptation to legislation, and increasing business efficiency at local and international levels
- Identifying, analyzing, and solving important client problems and devising innovative solutions in joint PwC and client teams.
