Job Description & Summary
The Delivering Deal Value (DDV) team at PwC Advisory supports financial and industrial investors throughout the entire lifecycle of extraordinary operations: from the pre-deal evaluation phase to post-acquisition integration.
Within the team, the Financial Discipline practice focuses on the analysis, management, and optimization of financial aspects that accompany transactions, with the aim of accelerating value creation and ensuring effective governance of transformation initiatives.
As a Director in the Financial Discipline team, you will be responsible for the commercial development and management of projects for the Financial Discipline practice:
Pre-Deal
- Support in Operational Due Diligence, with analysis of economic-financial performance, working capital, cash flow, and cost structure.
- Evaluation of opportunities for improving financial discipline and alignment between operating model and investment objectives.
- Identification and quantification of financial synergies.
Post-Deal
- Design and execution of Financial Discipline plans within Post Merger Integration projects, ensuring rigorous monitoring of KPIs, costs, and cash flows.
- Definition of management control processes and tools, reporting, and financial governance.
- Support for Value Creation initiatives through the improvement of operational and financial performance.
- Day-1 Readiness and post-closing stabilization activities in acquisition or carve-out contexts.
Client & Team Management
- Operational management of client relationships and constant interaction with CFOs and Finance teams of target/acquired companies.
- Coordination/Training of junior resources, ensuring quality and timeliness in deliveries.
- Contribution to commercial development and market positioning of the Financial Discipline practice (Managers only).
Requirements
- At least 8/10 years of experience in financial consulting.
- In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, performance management, KPIs, and reporting processes.
- Experience in M&A, corporate restructuring, or financial transformations.
- Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and strategic vision.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and analysis/reporting tools; knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
