Job Description

The Delivering Deal Value (DDV) team at PwC Advisory supports financial and industrial investors throughout the entire lifecycle of extraordinary operations, from pre-deal evaluation to post-acquisition integration. The Financial Discipline practice focuses on analyzing, managing, and optimizing financial aspects of transactions to accelerate value creation and ensure effective governance. As a Director, you will lead commercial development and project management for this practice.

Must Have:
  • Lead commercial development and project management for Financial Discipline.
  • Support Operational Due Diligence, analyzing economic-financial performance, working capital, cash flow, and cost structure.
  • Evaluate opportunities for improving financial discipline and aligning operating models with investment objectives.
  • Identify and quantify financial synergies.
  • Design and execute Financial Discipline plans within Post Merger Integration projects.
  • Ensure rigorous monitoring of KPIs, costs, and cash flows.
  • Define management control processes and tools, reporting, and financial governance.
  • Support Value Creation initiatives through improved operational and financial performance.
  • Conduct Day-1 Readiness and post-closing stabilization in acquisition or carve-out contexts.
  • Manage client relationships and interact with CFOs and Finance teams.
  • Coordinate and train junior resources, ensuring quality and timely deliveries.
  • Possess at least 8-10 years of experience in financial consulting.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of financial analysis, performance management, KPIs, and reporting processes.
  • Experience in M&A, corporate restructuring, or financial transformations is required.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and strategic vision.
  • Exhibit excellent knowledge of Excel and analysis/reporting tools.
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English.

The Delivering Deal Value (DDV) team at PwC Advisory supports financial and industrial investors throughout the entire lifecycle of extraordinary operations: from the pre-deal evaluation phase to post-acquisition integration.

Within the team, the Financial Discipline practice focuses on the analysis, management, and optimization of financial aspects that accompany transactions, with the aim of accelerating value creation and ensuring effective governance of transformation initiatives.

As a Director in the Financial Discipline team, you will be responsible for the commercial development and management of projects for the Financial Discipline practice:

Pre-Deal

  • Support in Operational Due Diligence, with analysis of economic-financial performance, working capital, cash flow, and cost structure.
  • Evaluation of opportunities for improving financial discipline and alignment between operating model and investment objectives.
  • Identification and quantification of financial synergies.

Post-Deal

  • Design and execution of Financial Discipline plans within Post Merger Integration projects, ensuring rigorous monitoring of KPIs, costs, and cash flows.
  • Definition of management control processes and tools, reporting, and financial governance.
  • Support for Value Creation initiatives through the improvement of operational and financial performance.
  • Day-1 Readiness and post-closing stabilization activities in acquisition or carve-out contexts.

Client & Team Management

  • Operational management of client relationships and constant interaction with CFOs and Finance teams of target/acquired companies.
  • Coordination/Training of junior resources, ensuring quality and timeliness in deliveries.
  • Contribution to commercial development and market positioning of the Financial Discipline practice (Managers only).

Requirements

  • At least 8/10 years of experience in financial consulting.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, performance management, KPIs, and reporting processes.
  • Experience in M&A, corporate restructuring, or financial transformations.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and strategic vision.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and analysis/reporting tools; knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.
