Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Scrum Master & Agile Team Lead to join our engineering leadership team. This dual-role position combines agile project facilitation with team coaching and supervision, supporting high-impact software development and system optimization initiatives in the media and entertainment sectors. Key responsibilities include leading agile teams, guiding them in Scrum and agile methodologies, facilitating ceremonies, removing obstacles, and promoting continuous improvement. The role also involves supervising a multidisciplinary team, providing mentorship, performance management, and career development support, and collaborating with HR for recruitment and onboarding.
Must Have
- Lead agile teams in large-scale software development and implementation projects.
- Guide teams and Product Owners in applying Scrum and agile methodologies effectively.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies: iteration planning, daily standups, demos, retrospectives.
- Remove obstacles and shield teams from external disruptions.
- Promote continuous improvement and team accountability.
- Supervise a multidisciplinary, multifunctional team delivering IT system optimization projects.
- Provide mentorship, performance management, and career development support.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in IT.
- 5 to 7 years as a Scrum Master.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM or equivalent).
- Strong command of Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Over 3 years of experience managing teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and change management capabilities.
- Bilingual (French and English).
- Proficient in JIRA for managing and tracking user stories and backlog.
- Deep understanding of product breakdown and delivery planning in Scrum-based IT solution delivery.

- Knowledge of the M&E domain is an asset.

Key Responsibilities
Scrum Master
- Lead agile teams in large-scale software development and implementation projects
- Guide teams and Product Owners in applying Scrum and agile methodologies effectively
- Facilitate agile ceremonies: iteration planning, daily standups, demos, retrospectives
- Remove obstacles and shield teams from external disruptions.
- Promote continuous improvement and team accountability
- Ensure alignment between sprint backlog tasks and product backlog commitments
- Maintain clarity on quality, compliance, and completion criteria.
- Support agile reporting and performance tracking
- Coach and train teams on agile principles and practices
Team Leadership
- Supervise a multidisciplinary, multifunctional team delivering IT system optimization projects.
- Provide mentorship, performance management, and career development support.
- Collaborate with HR to recruit and onboard new team members.
- Set and review individual goals and development plans.
- Offer regular coaching and training sessions tailored to team needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of experience in IT, including 5 to 7 years as a Scrum Master
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM or equivalent)
- Strong command of Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Over 3 years of experience managing teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership, coaching, and change management capabilities
- Bilingual (French and English) — required due to frequent communication with subsidiaries outside Quebec where English is the primary working language
- Proficient in JIRA for managing and tracking user stories and backlog
- Knowledge of the M&E domain is an asset
- Deep understanding of product breakdown and delivery planning in Scrum-based IT solution delivery
