As an Analog Layout Design Engineer at Intel, you will design custom high-speed analog layouts for industry-leading SerDes on advanced technology. Your responsibilities will include designing complex SerDes layouts, performing verification checks, designing floorplans, and performing simulations. You will also collaborate with various teams to meet design specifications and troubleshoot issues. The role requires detail-oriented individuals with excellent communication skills and a passion for innovation. The candidate should have a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience with high-speed SerDes analog layout development and experience in leading semiconductor technologies.

As a member of the Layout Team, you will be part of the team designing custom high speed analog layout for industry leading SerDes on Intel's advanced technology.

As an Analog Layout Design Engineer you will:

  • Designs complex SerDes layouts of analog signal circuits for a given design specification and runs complete set of design verification tools for process design rules, electron migration, voltage drop (IR), ESD, and other reliability checks on the layouts.

  • Designs and analyzes floorplans, power grid, ESD, bumps, and performs all required verification on the analog blocks.

  • Performs the microfloor planning and detail signal planning of complex analog circuits to meet performance and electrical requirements (shielding, matching) for critical signals to optimize for area, power, RV, and performance.

  • Develops and drives new and innovative analog layout methodologies to improve layout productivity and quality. Collaborates with analog circuit design, process technology, and package design teams to meet design specifications, plan work, and negotiate layout tradeoffs as needed. Troubleshoots a wide variety of issues up to and including design and tool/flow/methodology used in analog layout design.

  • Performs reliability-related simulations to facilitate efficient closure of robust designs.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, or any STEM related degree with

2+ years’ relevant experience or coursework with:

  • Experience with high speed SerDes analog layout development

  • Expert with leading design and layout entry software

  • Experience in leading semiconductor technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Engineering with 1+ years relevant experience

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
