Job Summary

Job Description

This job contributes to team discussions and engages in collaborative problem-solving related to risk management. It involves assisting in identifying and analyzing risks, suggesting efficiencies and improvements, exercising judgment in executing tasks, and supporting the implementation of risk management strategies.
Must have:
  • Contribute to team discussions and engage in collaborative problem-solving related to risk management.
  • Assist in identifying and analyzing risks that may impact operations and objectives.
  • Suggest efficiencies and improvements within defined processes and procedures.
  • Exercise judgment in executing tasks and contributing to solutions.
  • Support the implementation of risk management strategies and initiatives.
Good to have:
  • 3+ years of experience working in fraud domains or investigating fraud incidents and/or risk investigations.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong working knowledge of PayPal and/or its subsidiaries, with experience in Operations (Risk, Sanctions, CIP, Global Protections Investigations) helpful
  • Capacity to make independent sound decisions on investigative direction, using critical thought and judgement to escalate issues as appropriate to senior management.
  • Must be detail oriented, be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Positive inter-team communication and interaction and bring a high level of enthusiasm to the projects or investigations assigned.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing needs of the business and communicate applicable strategy both internally and externally.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize a variety of software and tools to a high functional ability
  • Proven ability to analyze large amounts of data in order to report critical information.
  • Advanced data query and analysis skills helpful (SQL, SAS, Teradata, Hadoop, etc.).
  • Ability to triage alerts, layer with relevant information, and assess severity.
  • Knowledge in systems and multi-tier application and network troubleshooting.
  • Scripting languages (Shell / Perl / Python) knowledge helpful
  • Knowledge and Expertise in data analytics
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Not shy to reach out to different functions across organization.
  • Quick learner: Can easily adapt to new business knowledge and new technologies.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualification:
