Ajmera Infotech is seeking an Android Developer II with 4-8 years of experience to build mission-critical health-tech applications. This full-time, on-site role in Ahmedabad involves developing FDA-compliant, Kotlin-first apps using Jetpack Compose, modernizing legacy XML components, and integrating deep tech like BLE devices and secure real-time sync. The developer will contribute to end-to-end product decisions, testing, and delivery, ensuring high security, reliability, and responsiveness for global clinicians and patients.

Good To Have:

Exposure to regulated domains such as healthcare, fintech, or IoT.
Familiarity with Dagger/Hilt, GraphQL, or ProGuard.
Experience with KMM (Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile) or Flutter.
Understanding of mobile CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.

Must Have:

Develop Android apps with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Migrate XML UI to Compose with MVVM/Clean Architecture.
Integrate REST APIs, gRPC, WebSockets, and BLE peripherals.
Ensure app performance, memory efficiency, accessibility, and security (OWASP MASVS).
Write unit, UI, and instrumentation tests; apply TDD and CI/CD.
Participate in code reviews, documentation, and sprint planning.
3-5 years Android development, 1-2 years with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Experience with Coroutines, Flow, MVVM, Room, WorkManager.
Hands-on API, BLE device, and background task integration.
Familiarity with JUnit, Espresso, and Robolectric for testing.
Knowledge of Play Store policies, submission, and crash analytics.
Proficient in Git, code review processes, and Agile practices.

These apps are used daily by clinicians and patients across the world—software that must be highly secure, reliable, and responsive.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin (90% Jetpack Compose).
Contribute to the migration from legacy XML UI to Compose with MVVM/Clean Architecture patterns.
Integrate REST APIs, gRPC services, WebSockets, and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) peripherals.
Ensure performance, memory efficiency, and accessibility while following security best practices (OWASP MASVS).
Write unit, UI, and instrumentation tests; work with TDD and CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps).
Participate in code reviews, documentation, and sprint planning with global product and engineering teams.
Assist in release cycle management, including Play Store submissions, phased rollouts, and monitoring.

Must-Have Skills

3–5 years of Android development with 1–2 years working extensively with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Experience with Coroutines, Flow, MVVM, Room, and WorkManager.
Hands-on integration of APIs, BLE devices, and background tasks. Familiar with writing test cases using JUnit, Espresso, and Robolectric.
Knowledge of Play Store policies, submission workflows, and crash analytics (Crashlytics, Sentry).
Working knowledge of Git, code review processes, and Agile practices.

Nice-to-Have

Exposure to regulated domains such as healthcare, fintech, or IoT.
