This contract position is remote-first, with flexibility across U.S. time zones. The role involves designing and implementing high-throughput backend services, engineering secure cloud-native systems on Azure or AWS, ensuring data consistency, and applying TDD/BDD. Must Have

• Design and implement high-throughput backend services in .NET
• Engineer secure, observable, cloud native systems on Azure or AWS
• Guarantee data consistency, concurrency, and transactional integrity
• Apply TDD/BDD across unit, integration, and contract testing
• Optimize API design, performance tuning, and scalable DB models
• Partner cross-functionally to deliver production-grade, zero-defect software
• 7+ years of .NET backend development experience
• Proficiency in Azure or AWS cloud platforms
• Proven track record in distributed, high-scale backend systems
• Strong grasp of data structures, async programming, and API versioning
• Hands-on with SQL/NoSQL, caching, and messaging systems

Good to Have

• Experience with CQRS, MediatR, or event-driven architectures
• Exposure to MongoDB and document-store modeling
• Familiarity with React or modern JS stacks
• Understanding of DDD and advanced architectural patterns
