We are seeking an experienced ASIC/FPGA Designer or Verification Engineer to join our Complex Electronics Capability team in Solihull. This role involves working on cutting-edge, safety-critical systems for aerospace and other sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and verifying advanced digital electronics using FPGA or ASIC technologies, collaborating across various disciplines to deliver high-performance solutions. Key tasks include developing complex digital ASIC/FPGAs with VHDL, creating sophisticated testbenches in SystemVerilog and UVM, and providing timely solutions for design and verification challenges.
Must have:
  • Developing complex digital ASIC/FPGAs using VHDL.
  • Developing complex testbenches in SystemVerilog and UVM test environments.
  • Develop timely and effective solutions for problematic design & verification problems.
  • Integrating debugging designs and supporting teams to resolve issues.
  • Strong knowledge of platform interfaces, component technologies, system behaviour, verification vehicles, electrical design, system architecture, and development processes.
  • Prior demonstrable experience using implementation tools, such as Simulators, synthesis engines, STA tools etc.
  • Strong prior experience of independently developing complex testbenches in SystemVerilog and UVM test environments.
  • Experience of writing, managing, and maintaining complex documentation and plans.
  • Experience in scripting with languages such as TCL, Python, Shell scripts.
  • Experience in version control, such as Git, SVN.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing complex digital ASIC/FPGAs using VHDL.
  • Developing complex testbenches in SystemVerilog and UVM test environments.
  • Develop timely and effective solutions for problematic design & verification problems.
  • Integrating debugging designs and supporting teams to resolve issues.

Who we’re looking for:

You will bring hands on experience with VDHL, SystemVerilog and UVM along with a string track record of delivering complex engineering projects. You will have:

  • Strong knowledge of platform interfaces, component technologies, system behaviour, verification vehicles, electrical design, system architecture, and development processes.
  • Prior demonstrable experience using implementation tools, such as Simulators, synthesis engines, STA tools etc.
  • Strong prior experience of independently developing complex testbenches in SystemVerilog and UVM test environments.
