ASIC Physical Design Engineer

Broadcom is seeking an ASIC Physical Design Engineer to implement large ASICs (100-400 million gates) using advanced process technologies (7nm/5nm/3nm/2nm). The role requires strong technical competency in EDA tools for physical design, verification (DRC/LVS, STA/Timing), and proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments. Knowledge of GPU/CPU/DSP architecture and scripting languages is highly advantageous. The engineer will contribute to technical teams, ensuring high-quality physical design.

Must Have

• Bachelor/Master/PhD or equivalent in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• Relevant work experience in physical design implementation of large ASICs
• Strong technical competency in using EDA tools to implement projects in 7nm/5nm/3nm/2nm process technologies
• Proficiency with one or more VLSI physical design tools (e.g., Place/route, DRC/LVS verification, STA/Timing Verification)
• Proficiency in using UNIX/Linux based design environments

Good to Have

• In-depth knowledge of GPU/CPU/DSP architecture/algorithm and related physical design implementation knowledge
• Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Tcl)
• Good teamwork and the ability to work in both small or large technical teams
