BlueBolt is seeking an Assistant Technical Director (ATD) to join their dynamic team. This role involves providing technical support, enhancing the Technology team's assistance to artists and producers, influencing tools and infrastructure, and advancing pipeline workflows. The ATD will offer vital technical assistance and report to the Head of Pipeline, working in a hybrid model with two days per week in the Central London office.

Job Description

BlueBolt is looking for an Assistant Technical Director (ATD) to join our expanding, dynamic team. In this role, you will provide technical support and enhance how our Technology team supports BlueBolt's artists and producers. You will offer vital technical assistance, influence our tools and infrastructure, and help advance our pipeline and workflows.

The perfect candidate will have previous ATD experience in VFX. This position reports directly to the Head of Pipeline. Our offices are in Central London, and we anticipate a hybrid work model of two days per week in the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing first line support for application & hardware issues
  • Troubleshooting rendering issues and managing render resources
  • Helping to roll-out new tools by testing and writing user documentation
  • Managing technical services & completing technical tasks schedule
  • Supporting the maintenance of technical infrastructure
  • Helping the tech team on larger devops projects, as well as taking the lead on smaller projects
  • Configuring publishing systems for new shows, as well as running colour & framing loop tests
  • Internal testing of 3rd party and internal tools.
