The Orchard is seeking an Associate Director, Strategy Analyst to support strategic planning, business unit performance analysis, market entry strategies, and the execution of growth opportunities. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about media & entertainment who want to understand music, technology, and digital networks. You will work closely with senior management, gaining firsthand experience in high-level strategic decision-making and building relationships with key executives. Responsibilities include creating long-term strategic plans, supporting strategic analysis of industry trends, analyzing key performance indicators, preparing presentations on strategic opportunities, and assisting in the development of global strategy.
Must have:
  • BA/BS degree
  • 5+ years experience in consulting, investment banking, or related industry
  • Advanced financial modeling skills
  • Strong PowerPoint skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Job Details

The Orchard has an immediate opening for a Associate Director, Strategy Analyst.  This position supports The Orchard in creation of strategic plans, understanding business unit performance, developing market entry strategies and execution of select strategic growth opportunities. This is an ideal position for someone who is passionate about media & entertainment and who wants to gain a broad understanding of music, technology, and digital networks businesses. Working closely with senior management throughout The Orchard puts the Business Analyst in a unique position to experience high-level strategic decision-making firsthand, and to build meaningful working relationships with key executives.

What you'll do

  • Creation of long term strategic plans for the business focused on growth opportunities
  • Support strategic analysis and planning focused on industry trends
  • Analysis of key KPIs and trends across the industry and the business
  • Prepare internal presentations highlighting strategic opportunities across segments
  • Assisting finance & strategy teammates as well as divisional counterparts in the development of long-term global strategy
  • Conducting research to help inform The Orchard’s strategic priorities
  • Prepare and execute detailed financial models and other analyses to facilitate decision making for new signings, acquisitions, and business ventures
  • Providing financial and strategic support in evaluating and executing mergers & acquisitions, strategic partnerships and cross-divisional business development initiatives

Who you are

  • BA/BS degree
  • 5+ years experience at a consulting firm, investment bank or related industry (media and entertainment, digital, tech) company
  • Advanced financial modeling and strong PPT skills
  • Must have strong quantitative and analytical skills and be able to think strategically
  • Must have strong presentation, communication & interpersonal skills
  • Passion for media and entertainment
