Springer Nature opens the doors to discovery for researchers, educators, clinicians, and other professionals. Every day, around the globe, our imprints, books, journals, platforms, and technology solutions reach millions of people. For over 180 years our brands and imprints have been a trusted source of knowledge to these communities and today, more than ever, we see it as our responsibility to ensure that fundamental knowledge can be found, verified, understood, and used by our communities – enabling them to improve outcomes, make progress, and benefit the generations that follow.
Discover Journals aim to support researchers in communicating and advancing discovery for a better world. We do this by providing a trusted environment in which researchers can quickly, easily and transparently share their discoveries, data and research stories by publishing in peer-reviewed journals with an inclusive editorial threshold.
As an Associate Editor, you will play a key role in supporting Journal Editors and Editorial Board Members (EBMs) to ensure rapid and high-quality peer review, and publication. You will support content delivery by managing peer review for specific manuscripts across our journals and making editorial decisions. Success in this role requires strong time management skills, broad scientific knowledge, and a commitment to excellence in editorial practices. Key performance indicators include fast turnaround times, rigorous peer review standards, and exceptional service to authors, reviewers, and EBMs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about science and looking to launch a career in academic publishing. The position is full-time and based out of our Pune office, with a hybrid working arrangement.
Please submit a CV with a brief account of your accomplishments, and a cover letter outlining your motivations for applying, why you believe you are a good fit, your key ambitions in the role, and your salary expectations.
In accordance with our internal career movement guidance, 12 months in current role is a requirement before applying to a new role.
