Enphase Energy is seeking an Associate Hardware/Test Automation Engineer in Christchurch, New Zealand. This role is ideal for recent Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering graduates eager to join the renewable energy sector. You will work in a fast-paced lab environment, developing and testing micro-inverter products. Responsibilities include board-level design, test design, fault diagnosis, debugging, and problem-solving, focusing on firmware, hardware, test automation, product validation, compliance, custom ASICs, and advanced power electronics. You will use Python test automation scripts and collaborate with senior engineers.
Must have:
  • Recently graduated or about to graduate with a Bachelor of Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Excited about being hands-on designing and testing hardware
  • Love a challenge and enjoy drilling down on design issues to resolution
  • Develop and test micro-inverter products
  • Work on firmware, hardware, test automation, product validation, compliance, custom ASICs, and advanced power electronics
  • Focus on developing and testing micro-inverters on the tech bench or using Python test automation scripts
  • Work in cross functional teams with senior hardware, firmware and test automation engineers

About the Christchurch team

The New Zealand team is located in Wigram, Christchurch. We are a Research and Development Centre focused on the design and testing of our cornerstone product, the Microinverter. The New Zealand team has a team of around 120 plus engineers and support staff.
