Job Description

The Direct-to-Consumer Division at Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking an Associate Manager, Digital Games Monetisation. This role focuses on identifying and implementing optimal content lifecycle management strategies for the DGM commercial (AA) portfolio, driving digital revenue targets through joint business planning and commercial plans. Role overview:

The Direct-to-Consumer Division brings together a team from around the world, with a passion for engaging PlayStation gamers with relevant and entertaining content. This area of Sony Interactive Entertainment has seen significant growth in recent years, becoming a key revenue contributor and continues to evolve with the industry to create new business opportunities. We are looking for individuals who are motivated by being part of a truly distributed team, working together at the forefront of digital content distribution. With this in mind, we have built a Digital Games Monetisation (DGM) team who are responsible for working directly with publishers to drive the value proposition of the PlayStation Store.

The manger will identify and implement optimal content lifecycle management strategies, focusing on the DGM commercial (AA) portfolio of accounts. They will deliver digital revenue targets via implementation of a joint business planning process and commercial plans. They must work cross-functionally, to optimise the consumer proposition and deliver key franchise roadmap plans, designed to achieve the delivery of shared commercial objectives globally.

The ideal candidate should be an enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible teammate, have proven negotiation skills, and a strong analytical mind that thrives in a fast-paced commercial environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work directly with assigned accounts to advance the DGM strategy and develop a long-range plan
  • Drive the achievement of revenue and digital market share targets for key franchises through the implementation of product lifecycle roadmaps.
  • Responsible for utilising data and analytics to support the delivery of revenue targets for key franchises.
  • Secure content and deals with key publishers for inclusion in PS Store promotions as well as new release, live service and lifecycle roadmap initiatives that supports CLM’s strategy.
  • Bring insights and analysis that support the forecasting process and internal/external business performance updates.
  • Manage the digital monetization of the content portfolio for key account(s) and align with counterparts within global partner commerce teams to share knowledge of overall portfolio landscape and strategize best practices.
  • Identify and advise senior leadership of growth opportunities within your accounts.
  • Meet regularly with Global Third Party Relations and other internal partners to ensure alignment with broader platform activities.
  • Responsible to ensure the quality of the end-to-end delivery of digital products to consumers throughout the entire lifecycle with particular focus on seamless product and event launches.

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years (or equivalent) working in digital retail and / or digital entertainment industry.
  • Creative & energetic teammate who embraces change and exhibits a desire to continually improve.
  • Strong commercial outlook and able to evidence delivery of targets through joint business planning with partners.
  • Proven track record of using data to curate and shape portfolio offerings that drive the business forwards.
  • Experience of building strong, influential and collaborative relationships within both internal and external teams.
  • Resourceful in finding solutions to business problems.
  • Ability to self-manage and balance multiple projects and priorities.
  • Commercially focused and results driven with a demonstrable data-centric, analytical approach.
  • Track record of successfully growing revenue within a relevant commercial marketplace.
  • Able to engage, motivate and develop staff at all levels and in different geographies.
  • A proactive attitude, sense of humour, and delivery focused to get results.
