Job Description
The Associate Production Manager assists the VFX Producer and other Production Managers in managing VFX projects, adhering to schedules and milestones. They mentor and collaborate with VFX coordinators, creating daily/weekly plans. Responsibilities include collaborating with VFX supervisors to strengthen the creative-production partnership, identifying project roadblocks, and ensuring clear communication. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years' experience in a VFX Coordinator or similar role, strong technical understanding of the VFX pipeline, and proficiency in production management software (Shotgun preferred). Excellent communication and advanced Excel skills are essential.

Job Details
We are looking for an Associate Production Manager, reporting to the VFX Producer and Head of Production. They will assist the VFX Producer and other Production Manager(s) in managing assigned VFX projects and adhering to deliverable schedules and milestones. The Associate Production Manager is responsible for mentoring and collaborating with VFX coordinators to create clear daily and weekly plans and ensure the work schedule is on track as discussed with their production leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates closely with the VFX, CG, and compositing supervisors to strengthen the partnership between the creative and production arms of the Production Supervision crew
- Identifies and assists the production supervisor crew with any project roadblocks and creates detailed plans to ensure effective and efficient schedules
- Ensures clear communication flow and follow up with various teams/department regarding goals and deadlines
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a VFX Coordinator or similar role
- Strong technical understanding of the VFX pipeline across multiple departments as well as interest and knowledge of VFX software packages
- Shotgun, or other production management software experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills
