Our Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) team is an important part of our development process, delivering actionable insights that support our game teams to optimize software performance and improve game play.
EA is looking for you to fill an Associate Quality Designer role for the FC team. You will input into our quality processes and help establish best practices for our analyst family together with our leadership team. You will help build the quality plan for FC QA and will report to the QA Manager and partner directly with the Producer, Software Engineer, and Designer to agree on the quality plan for our products.
Responsibilities
Quality Strategy and Test Planning: Use testing skills and methodologies to test the product and share results systematically
- Create, build, and manage test plans
- Research and propose solutions for increasing test coverage efficiency
Quality and Data Analysis:
- Compile data from multiple sources into cohesive summaries to communicate status and risk
- Report high impact or complex bugs and provide applicable feedback to improve the quality of the game for players
Collaboration and Communication:
- Serve as the communication bridge between development partners and QA teams
- Represent the QA perspective effectively in meetings, ensuring quality standards are prioritized.
Mentorship and Team Support:
- Mentor and support team members in implementing quality strategies
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in software development, quality assurance, or game design
- Familiarity with automated testing, telemetry, and data literacy
- Experience with defect and task tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
- Experience working in fast paced environments with multiple partners and teams across different geo-locations
- Good domain knowledge of football and gaming, with experience in FC/FIFA
- In-depth knowledge of current generation console testing and software development kits
- Experience overseeing QA of complex features and implementing from start to finish.
