We code primarily in C#, React, and Java. If you don’t know it “all,” you won’t be alone! We are seeking full-stack generalists that can bring experience and diverse knowledge to our team, rather than hyper-focused specialists. Our hiring staff is not focused on playing “technology experience bingo” but wants to find the best software engineers.

The C# Software Engineer is a key role within the software development team responsible for providing a high level of support for Dot Net production applications (C# WinForms) built within Visual Studio in C#. This position will be split between production application support and implementing new functionality. We embrace the model of you build it you support it. The successful candidate will be a self-directed, process-oriented individual with strong verbal and written communication skills. This is junior to a mid-level development position ideal for hungry engineers looking for an opportunity to build their skillset and move on to other areas of software development within the company.

Rather, we are thoughtful about our design and focused on ensuring that our clients can use software that is both useful and useable. You won’t be buried in a dark corner – you’ll have the opportunity to actively shape the software, while working as an integral part of a dynamic team of developers who are focused on writing great code, learning every day, and having a lot of fun.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Developing an in-depth technical understanding of the Processing platform.
• Utilizing strong analytical skills and debugging techniques to resolve software bugs.
• Working collaboratively with the support and development teams to diagnose, debug and resolve escalated customer issues.
• Resolving customer issues escalated from our support department to our development team.
• Troubleshooting application bugs remotely within the Client’s environments.
• Developing test cases around new features and extending the current automated regression testing. Participate in the development of new features and expand existing features.
• Add support for new platforms to our existing products and develop new products.
• Develop and review designs, code, unit tests, system tests, and documentation.
• Collaborate in root cause analysis; diagnose, isolate, and fix software problems.
• Create applications using primarily C#.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs in C#.
• Demonstrate your work product to your team.
• Identify and correct issues that impact performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Investigate and develop skills in new technologies.

Characteristics

• Extensive knowledge of C#.
• Extensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle to include agile methodologies, code quality, and continuous integration/continuous delivery.
• Driven to build modern systems that emphasize user experience and aesthetics.
• Excellent writing and written/verbal communication skills.
• An eagerness to learn, explore and introduce new technologies.
• Knowledge of React and Redux application development and testing preferred.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years’ work experience in back-end software engineering with considerable experience programming in C#.
