Anthology seeks an Associate Software Engineer I in Bangalore, India to design and implement solutions, take ownership of production areas, resolve issues and defects, ensure proper communication, and identify communication issues. Responsibilities include working with Microsoft technologies (C#, ASP.Net), .NET/.NET Core, MVC, Web API, CSS, JavaScript, UI frameworks (Angular, React), SQL Server, unit testing frameworks, Git, and Agile tools. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 0-2 years of relevant experience.

Primary responsibilities will include: 

  • Designing and implementing solutions for the area of the application owned by the team
  • Taking ownership of the team’s product areas running in production
  • Learning and applying new system design responsibilities
  • Resolving production issues and defects for solutions owned by the team
  • Ensuring proper team and inter-team communication practices
  • Identifying issues with internal team communication practices

 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Technical exposure to Microsoft technologies (C#, ASP.Net) with experience in web-based application development
  • Experience with .NET/.NET Core, MVC, Web API
  • Experience with CSS, JavaScript, and one or more UI frameworks (Angular, React, etc.)
  • Experience with database systems (SQL Server)
  • Exposure to unit testing frameworks (MS Unit and QUnit testing)
  • Exposure to version control systems like Git
  • Familiarity with Agile development tools such as Azure DevOps or equivalent
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment, comfortable with direct communication with all levels of technical and business resources
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

 

Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • Experience with Azure cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines
