Job Description

NXP’s Technology & Operations organization plays an essential role in the company’s success by ensuring the delivery of high quality, scalable, cost-competitive technologies and supply to create a competitive advantage for our customers. As an ATMC Equipment Engineering Intern, you will drive a specific project within the Equipment Engineering team, learn about semiconductors and maintenance, the fab way of work, and the Equipment Engineering role, and report out results to senior management.
Good To Have:
  • Prefer Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • Prefer Dec 2026 and May 2027 graduation dates.
  • Strongly prefer demonstrated hands-on experience in electromechanical system construction, repair, and/or maintenance.
Must Have:
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drive a specific project within the Equipment Engineering team, appropriate in time (<3 months generally), scope, and technical knowledge (engineering skill needed, but minimal semiconductor expertise) to an intern
  • Learn about the semiconductors and maintenance generally, the fab way of work, and the Equipment Engineering role
  • Report out at the end to senior management about the results of the project, benefit to NXP, and what was learned

Job Qualification:

  • The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
  • Prefer Mechanical Engineering
  • Prefer Dec 2026 and May 2027 graduation dates
  • Strongly prefer demonstrated hands-on experience in electromechanical system construction, repair, and/or maintenance
