Job Description

The Automotive business unit at NXP is advancing vehicle connectivity and energy efficiency. The Systems and Applications department of "In-Vehicle Networking" develops innovative architectures and system technologies in close cooperation with customers. This working student role involves extending customer packages with example code and documentation, assisting in lab validation for TSN/AVB use-cases, benchmarking next-generation Automotive Ethernet switches, reproducing and debugging customer issues, and working on demo projects.

  • Basic understanding of Ethernet protocol (Ethernet switches & PHYs)
  • Student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar

The Automotive business unit is driving forward vehicle connectivity and ensuring greater energy efficiency in cars. The connected car provides more safety and comfort on the road and will make road traffic greener, more relaxed, and safer in the future with intelligent traffic management solutions. NXP supplies products for the internal on-board networks while ensuring wireless connectivity to the outside world.

The Systems and Applications (S&A) department of the Product Line "In-Vehicle Networking" (PL-IVN) forms the interface between research and development of innovative architectures and system technologies in the field of vehicle networking. The latest products are developed in close cooperation with our customers. Creativity is our strength, customer satisfaction our mission. We develop solutions for the vehicles of tomorrow.

Responsibilities:

  • Extending the customer packages with customer example code and documentation
  • Assisting in lab validation, setting up TSN/AVB use-cases
  • Benchmarking of next generation Automotive Ethernet switches
  • Reproducing and debugging customer issues
  • Working on the demo projects

Profile:

  • Student (m/f/d) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Good programming skills in Python and C
  • Basic understanding of Ethernet protocol (Ethernet switches & PHYs)
  • Knowledge in embedded programming is a plus
  • Team player, pro-active and able to work independently
