Job Description

This role involves working on control-command systems for hydroelectric installations, from the study phase to development and commissioning. Key responsibilities include defining hardware and software architecture, drafting automation and control-command specifications, programming Schneider PLCs on UNITY and Siemens PLCs on TIA PORTAL, understanding basic instrumentation, and ensuring coherent interpretation of physical measurements. The position requires intervention, development, and commissioning of these systems.

  • Ability to relate physical measurements to numerical interpretation.
  • Read and interpret control-command electrical diagrams.
  • Intervene, develop, and commission control-command systems for hydroelectric installations.
  • Master's degree (Bac+5) in Industrial Automation Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with Unity, TIA Portal, Pack Office, Word, and Excel.

Job Description

As part of the growth of our activities, we are looking for our future Automation Engineers to join our teams in Aix-en-Provence (13).

You will be involved in control-command systems for hydroelectric installations during the study phase and as a developer and commissioning engineer during the realization phase. In this capacity, your missions will consist of:

  • Defining the hardware and software architecture
  • Drafting various automation and control-command specifications
  • Programming Schneider PLCs on the UNITY platform and Siemens PLCs on the TIA PORTAL platform
  • Knowing basic instrumentation, such as pressure, temperature, level, position measurement, as well as acquisition chains to PLCs
  • Establishing a coherent relationship between a physical measurement and its numerical interpretation
  • Knowing how to read and interpret control-command electrical diagrams;
  • Intervening, developing & commissioning control-command systems for hydroelectric installations during the study phase or the realization phase

Qualifications

You have a Bac+5 level degree in Industrial Automation Engineering or equivalent and justify a professional experience of minimum 3 years in a similar position.

Ideally, you also have knowledge of project management and hydroelectric energy production structures. Furthermore, you are comfortable with Unity and TIA Portal as well as with Pack Office, especially Word and Excel.

You are also organized, patient, rigorous, and have a team spirit. Your interpersonal skills allow you to work easily in a team and transversally with internal and external stakeholders.
