The System Validation Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing system-level test cases that mimic customer usage of automotive products, encompassing software, hardware, and their integration. This role involves the design and implementation of software and hardware setups, along with test cases for high-end automotive products supporting NFC and Circular Economy (IoT) solutions. Responsibilities include defining and implementing HW setups and lab environments, enhancing test frameworks, developing system test cases, test firmware, and test drivers. The engineer will also execute and automate system test cases, support debugging efforts with hardware and software experts, create effort estimates, contribute to risk-assessment-based test strategies, and document and present results.

Job Details

System Validation is developing and executing system level test cases that are as close as possible to how customers are using our automotive products. This includes software features, hardware features and (most important) the combination of both.

We are looking for your support in design and implementation of software setups, hardware setups and test cases for high-end automotive products supporting NFC and Circular Economy (IoT) solutions.

You will be integrated in a team of software and hardware experts and work together with them on testing our products. Your responsibilities will be:

  • Definition and implementation of HW Setups and Lab Environments

  • Definition and implementation of new features of test frameworks

  • Definition and implementation of system test cases, test firmware and test drivers

  • Execution and automation of system test cases. Support of hardware and software experts while debugging identified issues.

  • Creating effort estimates for your own deliverables

  • Contribution in risk-assessment based selection of test strategies

  • Documenting and presenting own results

Your Profile

  • Being willing to take responsibility and to be a technical leader for peers

  • Strong interest in testing complex systems

  • Embedded firmware development (of test-applications) in C

  • Willingness to work with lab and measurement instruments, evaluation boards and related hardware equipment

  • Experience in C# and/or python

  • Highly independent working

  • Good English writing and speaking skills

  • Good communication skills to align with peers and architects

  • Curiosity and enjoying thinking outside the box
