Job Description

NXP is seeking a Working Student for Embedded Software in Hamburg, Germany. This part-time role involves developing and adapting embedded software and desktop applications, building and analyzing automotive ethernet audio networks, and setting up CAN testbenches. The ideal candidate is a Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics student with an interest in embedded systems, C/C++ programming, and basic knowledge of CAN, Ethernet, SPI/I²C, and lab instruments. The role requires independent work, analytical thinking, and communication in an international team.
Good To Have:
  • Basic understanding of CAN, Ethernet and SPI/I²C
  • Basic understanding of usage of lab instruments (e.g. oscilloscope, function generator)
Must Have:
  • Developing embedded SW and/or desktop applications
  • Adaptation of existing SW to specific needs
  • Buildup of automotive ethernet audio networks
  • Benchmarking and analyzing of automotive ethernet audio devices
  • Buildup of CAN testbenches
  • Documentation of implemented SW and HW setups
  • Experience with programming language C and C++ (or other object-oriented language)
  • Experience with 32-bit Arm microcontrollers
  • Student of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Physics
  • Interest in Embedded Systems is necessary
  • First experience with automotive systems
  • Capable to communicate and interact in English
  • Analytical thinking and good communication skills

  • Student of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Physics
  • Interest in Embedded Systems is necessary
  • First experience with automotive systems and able to work independently and accurately
  • Likes to work in a high-tech company, cutting edge, with international exposure
  • Passion to work in a multi-national team, capable to communicate and interact in English
  • Analytical thinking and good communication skills
