Join NXP's Digital IP Development team as a Business Analytics Intern to shape the future of IP effort forecasting. This internship offers a unique opportunity to build Power BI dashboards and design a scalable database to capture and analyze IP development effort data. You will develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, design and implement a centralized database, enable predictive analytics, and automate data ingestion. The role involves collaborating with engineering and program management teams to define data requirements and ensure accurate data capture, directly supporting strategic planning and resource optimization.

Must Have

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards
• Design and implement a centralized database
• Enable predictive analytics by preparing datasets
• Automate data ingestion using Power BI Dataflows and Power Query
• Collaborate with engineering and program management teams to define data requirements
• Document data models, dashboard logic, and usage guidelines
• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and Dataflows
• Familiarity with database design and data modeling concepts
• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualize IP development effort, resource allocation, and project timelines.
• Design and implement a centralized database to record historical and ongoing IP development efforts.
• Enable predictive analytics by preparing datasets that support effort forecasting models.
• Automate data ingestion and transformation using Power BI Dataflows and Power Query.
• Collaborate with engineering and program management teams to define data requirements and ensure accurate data capture.
• Document data models, dashboard logic, and usage guidelines for broader team adoption.

Job Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and Dataflows.
• Familiarity with database design and data modeling concepts.
• Understanding of digital IP development workflows is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles.

Please note that the base salary range (OR hourly rate) is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs. This base pay range is specific to California and is not applicable to other locations. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range as of the date of this posting is:

$64,480 to $107,500 annually
