Job Summary
NXP is seeking a 2026 Intern - System Hardware Engineer for a part-time, long-term internship (at least 6 months) in Shanghai or Suzhou. The role involves compliance testing, electrical specification testing of high-speed circuits (Ethernet, HDMI, USB, SATA, DDR, PCIE, LVDS), writing test reports, and providing logistical support for development platforms. Responsibilities also include designing add-on boards and assisting with platform updates, board rework, test, and re-deployment. Candidates should have a major in Electrical Engineering and be familiar with diagnostic equipment and board-level debugging.
Must Have
- Perform compliance tests (Power subsystem, signal integrity, environmental, mechanical, reliability, safety)
- Perform electrical specification tests of high-speed circuits (Ethernet, HDMI, USB, SATA, DDR, PCIE, LVDS)
- Write and publish complete and accurate test reports
- Provide logistical support on deployed development platforms and reference designs (electronic components sourcing, SMT follow up, board test)
- Design add-on and supplementary boards for development platforms
- Assist the Hardware team with platform updates, including driving and coordinating activities for board rework, test, and re-deployment
- Work 3 days/week and long-term internship (at least 6 months)
- Major in Electrical Engineer or related disciplines
- Familiar or willing to learn diagnostic equipment such as Multimeter, Oscilloscope
- Familiar or willing to learn basic boards rework and solder skill
- Familiar or willing to learn board-level debugs
- Familiar or willing to learn Cadence Orcad and Allegro knowledge
- Familiar or willing to learn Signal Integrity and Power Integrity knowledge
Good to Have
- Software background with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Working knowledge of programming and scripting languages (C, Python)
- System knowledge in SOC, tablet, Automotive, Set-Top-Box and Digital TV platforms

Job Description

Requirements:
- Work 3 days/week and long-term internship (at least 6 months)
- Major in Electrical Engineer or related disciplines.
- Strong initiative and learning willingness.
- Familiar or willing to learn diagnostic equipment such as Multimeter, Oscilloscope, etc.
- Software background with Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as some working knowledge of programming and scripting languages (for example, C, Python and others) would be an added advantage
- Fluent written and verbal English communication skills
- Familiar or willing to learn basic boards rework and solder skill.
- Familiar or willing to learn board-level debugs.
- Familiar or willing to learn Cadence Orcad and Allegro knowledge.
- Familiar or willing to learn Signal Integrity and Power Integrity knowledge.
- System knowledge in SOC, tablet, Automotive, Set-Top-Box and Digital TV platforms would be an added advantage
