Job Description

As an Automotive Test Engineer, you will be responsible for automating functional, performance, and stress testing using Python/Shell on Qualcomm's automotive platform. You will develop and execute automated tests using Qualcomm's automation test framework. You will collaborate with development and test teams for test case design and implementation, analyze test results to optimize testing, and assist with customer automation requests.

Good To Have:

Experience in C/C++ development.
Experience in automation dashboard development.
Familiarity with integrating AI into automation frameworks.

Must Have:

Proficiency in automation test frameworks and scripting languages like Python, Shell, and Robot Framework.
Experience with embedded systems, including ARM, Linux, and Android, in areas like Connectivity, Multimedia, and Graphics.
Strong communication skills in English.
Demonstrated initiative, self-reliance, and quick learning abilities.

General Summary:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 1+ year of work or academic experience with Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans and/or tools (e.g., Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools).

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Automating functional, performance, and stress testing using Python/Shell on Qualcomm's automotive platform.
Developing and executing automated tests utilizing Qualcomm's automation test framework.
Collaborating closely with development and test teams for test case design and implementation.
Analyzing and triaging test results through automation to optimize testing efficiency.
Assisting with customer automation requests in collaboration with relevant developers and Customer Engineers (CE).

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: 3–5 years of experience in test automation development.

Skills:

Proficiency in automation test frameworks and scripting languages such as Python, Shell, and Robot Framework.
Experience with embedded systems, including ARM, Linux, and Android, with familiarity in areas like Connectivity, Multimedia, and Graphics.
Strong communication skills in English.
Demonstrated initiative, self-reliance, and quick learning abilities with minimal supervision.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in C/C++ development.
Experience in automation dashboard development.
Familiarity with integrating AI into automation frameworks.
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
