Azure DevOps Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW

Plan A Technologies is looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Azure and a proven track record of implementing and managing complex multi-tenant production systems. The ideal candidate will also have deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud best practices. This role involves working closely with development and operations teams to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient environments. Please note: you must have at least 6+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer to be considered for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable multi-tenant production systems in Microsoft Azure.
• Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and integration processes.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth deployments and rapid issue resolution.
• Optimize system performance, security, and cost efficiency in Azure environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues in production.
• Document processes, architectures, and operational procedures.

EXPERIENCE

• 6+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including services for compute, networking, storage, databases, and security.
• Proven experience designing and managing complex multi-tenant production environments in Azure.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, or Terraform).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to maintain a positive work attitude.
• Great attention to detail.
• Initiative and drive to do great things.

Nice to Have

• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400).
• Experience with Kubernetes in Azure (AKS).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or Grafana.
