Job Description
As a Backend Engineer for Banking Foundation, you will be responsible for the discovery, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software within a dynamic environment. You will manage individual project priorities and deliverables while collaborating with a team that values knowledge sharing. It's important to stay current with the latest technology trends and contribute new findings during GSDD days. This role requires a strong bias for action, a focus on security, and a motivation to write well-tested and documented code, along with providing and receiving open feedback.

Must Have:
- Experience with JVM language and Spring Boot
- Understanding of microservice architecture
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (Postgres preferred)
- Appreciation for modern cloud architecture (AWS preferred)
- Strong bias for action
- Consideration for security
- Motivation to write well-tested and documented code
- Ability to give and receive open feedback
In this role, you will:
- Do discovery, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software in a thriving environment
- Manage individual project priorities and deliverables whilst working in a team who enjoy knowledge sharing sessions
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in technology
- Propose new findings during our GSDD days
What you need to be successful:
- Experience in developing software using a JVM language and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems (note: experience of Kotlin would be a plus)
- Sound understanding of microservice architecture
- Knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres.
- Appreciation of working in a modern cloud architecture, preferably with AWS.
