Backend Engineer - Customer Risk Lifecycle

N26 is seeking a Backend Engineer for the Banking Foundations domain, focusing on secure and compliant banking services. This role involves discovery, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software, managing project priorities, staying updated with technology trends, and proposing new findings. The ideal candidate will contribute to robust customer identity verification, proactive risk management, and seamless customer support, enabling sustainable growth and maintaining trust with customers and regulators.

Must Have

• Experience in developing software using a JVM language and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems
• Sound understanding of microservice architecture
• Knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres.
• Appreciation of working in a modern cloud architecture, preferably with AWS.

• Experience of Kotlin
• Strong bias for action, and getting things done
• Ongoing appreciation and consideration for security
• Motivation to write code which is well-tested and well-documented
• Give and receive open, direct and timely feedback
