Job Description

The Biz Analytics & Insights Director is responsible for overseeing business indicators, generating insights through data analysis, and engaging with company management to support decision-making. This role involves unifying indicator calibration, providing analytical support to management, and leading a business analytics team. Key responsibilities include ensuring data accuracy, formulating analysis strategies, and fostering team development to drive business value.
Must have:

  • Lead, manage, and guide the business analytics sub-team.
  • Assist team members in efficient and accurate work.
  • Promote professional development of team members.
  • Coordinate analysis of key topics and deepen business value of output.
  • Coordinate cooperation between the business team and various departments.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • 10+ years FMCG / Consumer goods or retail industry experience.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills.
  • Proactive and can-do attitude.
  • In-depth data/information analytic skills.
  • Mature leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to navigate across key stakeholders with high engagement.
  • Comfortable performing in an agile way.

About the role

The role is responsible for controlling the caliber and analysis path of business indicators, generating business insights through indicators and other data analysis, dialogue with company management, and serving data use cases in various business departments, supporting business decision-making and management

Key responsibilities

Unified control of the caliber of indicators

  • Responsible for the closing of the index number logic/indicator design/calculation caliber, ensure the reasonable and accurate number logic, and ensure the transparency and unity of the caliber
  • Coordinate business metrics from the company's overall business perspective to ensure consistency and comparability across channels/brands
  • Supervise the acceptance of the calculation results of digital tools by the supervisor sub-team, and coordinate the production and research team to iterate according to the acceptance results

Analytical support from the company's management

  • From the perspective of the company's management, formulate analysis strategies and paths, and interpret business indicators
  • Communicate closely with management, regularly summarize key data and analysis results, and assist management and business teams in decision-making

Day-to-day management of the business analytics team

  • Lead, manage and guide the sub-team, assist team members to carry out their work efficiently and accurately, and promote the professional development of team members
  • Coordinate the analysis of key topics of the sub-team and deepen the business value of output analysis
  • Coordinate the cooperation and docking between the business team and various departments in daily work

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • Languages: Fluent in spoken, written, listen and read English and Chinese.
  • Experience: 10 + years FMCG / Consumer goods industry or retail industry experience, with trade marketing, Finance BP, Pricing, Business intelligence/insights, etc.
  • Stronge cross functional communication skills.
  • Proactive and can-do attitude, drive to deliver.
  • In-depth data/information analytic skills.
  • Mature leadership and people management skills.
  • Be able to navigate across key stakeholders with high engagement level. Feel comfortable and be able to perform in an agile way to move things forward.

Preferred

  • Strong intellectual curiosity, strong business sense, data analytical skills, as well as great project management capability with matured leadership style.
  • Deliberative, open minded, take initiative and have full responsibility & ownership on work.
  • Very familiar with how to create value for business from NRM standpoint and be able to think out of box, and brave to drive things forward from ambiguity.
