This Business Analyst role at Ackermans focuses on FinTech, VAS, and Cellular systems. The analyst will act as an interface between Systems Teams, Business, Pepkor NexTech, and other 3rd Parties. The primary goal is to recommend solutions, including new or improved business processes, information systems, and software applications, to help functional departments and business achieve their objectives. The role specifically services Financial Services (VAS) and Cellular Business Areas, focusing on the continued evolution of FinTech capabilities while maintaining existing processes.

Must Have

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in FinTech or financial services industry
• Approximately 3 years’ experience in Apparel Retail and Systems
• Business process exposure/understanding (VAS & Cellular)
• Process optimizing/improvement experience
• Elicitation and documenting BRS/BRD
• IT and 3rd party collaboration
• Setup, Management and execution of testing
• Project Management skills with ability to lead and motivate teams
• Training/Change management experience
• Systems/Business support for BAU
• System Architecture understanding (area specific – integration environment/technical competency)
• Proficiency in Unified Modeling Language (UML)
• Test Execution ensuring launch and maintenance of quality digital products
• Basic Oracle / Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Grade 12 Certificate/Matric
• Relevant Degree or Higher National Diploma (Information Technology, Computer Science, System Design, Management Science, Business studies, Information Systems, Business Analyst)
• Working knowledge of Waterfall and Agile working methodologies and principles
• Knowledge of PMBOK and BABOK management principles
• Ability to compile quantitative and or qualitative information/reporting

To act as the interface between the Systems Teams, Business, Pepkor NexTech and other 3rd Parties, through a set of tasks and techniques, to recommend solutions (New and or improved business process, information systems, software applications) that enable the Functional Department/s and Business to achieve its goals. The Business Analyst will service the Financial Services (VAS) and Cellular Business Areas with continued evolution development of FinTech capabilities while maintaining our existing processes.

1. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential:

• Established record of accomplishment in implementing FinTech solutions
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in FinTech or financial services industry
• ± 3 years’ experience in Apparel Retail and Systems, with exposure to:
• Business process exposure/understanding (VAS & Cellular)
• Process optimizing/improvement

2. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Essential:

• Grade 12 Certificate/Matric

Preferred:

• Business Analysis from FTI.
