Job Summary

Zuora's Corporate Operations organization is seeking a Business Systems Analyst – Workday & HRIS to join their Business Applications team. This role involves supporting and enhancing Workday and related HR systems, combining functional HR process knowledge with technical expertise in configuration, reporting, security, and integrations. The analyst will collaborate with HR and cross-functional teams to streamline systems, manage configurations, lead enhancements, and ensure optimized, compliant, and continuously improving people systems across the employee lifecycle.

Must Have

  • Serve as a Workday system expert, supporting configuration, testing, reporting, and troubleshooting across multiple modules.
  • Lead or contribute to enhancement projects and support larger cross-functional initiatives related to HR technology.
  • Manage day-to-day Workday operations including data audits, security administration, and HRIS support tickets management.
  • Partner with technical resources to support integrations and inbound data loads with other enterprise systems.
  • Create, update, and maintain Workday documentation with process guides and end-user training materials.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and other business stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and define scalable solutions.
  • Address incoming questions, requests, and issues while maintaining strong communication.
  • Support system testing and deployment cycles, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and smooth rollouts.
  • Deliver Scalable HR System Enhancements by configuring and optimizing Workday modules.
  • Improve Process Efficiency by simplifying and automating HR workflows.
  • Strengthen Data Integrity through proactive data audits and alignment between Workday and downstream systems.
  • Enhance User Experience by partnering with HR to create intuitive processes and documentation.
  • Foster Collaboration cross-functionally to ensure consistent data flows and system reliability.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement by contributing to the evolution of people systems roadmap.

Within Corporate Operations, the Business Applications team designs, implements, and optimizes the systems that power Zuora’s Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Legal, and Human Resources functions. Reporting to the Senior Business Systems Manager of Digital Workplace Experience, this team partners closely with HR, IT, and cross-functional system owners to deliver reliable, scalable, and user-friendly solutions across the employee lifecycle.

The Business Systems Analyst – Workday & HRIS is a key member of this team, responsible for supporting and enhancing Workday and related HR systems. You’ll combine strong functional knowledge of HR processes with hands-on technical expertise in configuration, reporting, security, and integrations ensuring our people systems are optimized, compliant, and continuously improving.

YOUR MISSION

As a member of the IT organization supporting G&A functions, the Business Systems Analyst – Workday & HRIS collaborates with HR team and cross-functional teams to integrate and enhance business systems, driving efficiency, automation, and reliability in alignment with strategic goals

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

As the Business Systems Analyst – Workday & HRIS, you’ll collaborate with HR and cross-functional partners to enhance and streamline Workday and related HR systems. You’ll manage configurations, lead enhancements, and identify process improvements that strengthen efficiency and the overall employee experience. Working closely with other BSAs and technical teams, you’ll help prioritize initiatives, refine requirements, and ensure successful delivery of enhancements through agile development and testing cycles.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a Workday system expert, supporting configuration, testing, reporting, and troubleshooting across multiple modules (Core HCM, Absence, Advanced Compensation etc.).
  • Lead or contribute to enhancement projects and support larger cross-functional initiatives related to HR technology.
  • Manage day-to-day Workday operations including data audits, security administration, and HRIS support tickets management.
  • Partner with technical resources to support integrations and inbound data loads with other enterprise systems (e.g., Finance, IT, Recruiting, Learning).
  • Create, update, and maintain Workday documentation with process guides and end-user training materials.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and other business stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and define scalable solutions.
  • Address incoming questions, requests, and issues while maintaining strong communication.
  • Support system testing and deployment cycles, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and smooth rollouts.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Improve Process Efficiency: Simplify and automate HR workflows to reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy.
  • Strengthen Data Integrity: Conduct proactive data audits and drive alignment between Workday and downstream systems.
  • Enhance User Experience: Partner with HR to create intuitive processes and documentation that empower end users.
  • Foster Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with HR, IT, and Finance to ensure consistent data flows and system reliability.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of our people systems roadmap by identifying areas for automation and innovation.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, HR, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday administration experience including configuration, reporting, calculated fields, and business processes.
  • Experience with Workday Absence Management and Security configuration preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes such as employee lifecycle, time off, and organization management.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets for analysis, data validation, and reconciliation.
  • Experience supporting or integrating other HRIS or People Systems (e.g., Greenhouse, Okta, others) is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive, customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver quality outcomes, and maintain high accuracy under pressure.
