Enphase Energy, a global leader in solar, battery, and EV charging products, is building a Commercial & Industrial (C&I) sales team for its new IQ9 product. The C&I Sales Director will hire, lead, and train C&I salespeople, collaborating with various internal teams. This pivotal role drives C&I revenue and services partners, requiring C&I solar sales experience and a blend of business, technical, and leadership skills. The director will develop strategies to expand the C&I business, including the go-to-market plan for IQ9, and will work from a home office.
Must have:
  • Hire, train and lead the US C&I sales team
  • Develops and executes C&I go to market plan including segmentation, primary target market definition and value proposition
  • Collaborate with and coach existing sales team in developing and closing C&I projects and sharing best practices
  • Creates and executes 6 quarter forecasts and reports weekly and monthly on sales and opportunities status
  • Works with Product Line Management to represent the voice of the customer in order to develop the right C&I solutions

In the next few months, Enphase will be launching IQ9 to serve the 480V market, so we are now building a Commercial & Industrial sales team.

Enphase Energy’s C&I Sales Director will be responsible for hiring, leading and training C&I salespeople who call on developers and installers who primarily sell commercial. The position will closely collaborate with other Sales Supervisors, FAEs, Training, C&I product group, Operations and Customer Service. This pivotal role will be responsible for driving C&I revenue and servicing partners and customers. The ideal candidate has C&I solar sales experience and a unique blend of business, technical, and leadership skills. S/he will establish plans and strategies to expand the C&I business including the go to market for the IQ9 for 480V applications in order to develop a new customer base. The position is a home office position.

Who you are and What you bring

  • Successful track record of C&I solar sales to developers and C&I installers
  • Proven ability to gain a price premium thru consultative selling
  • Possesses a minimum of 10 years C&I sales experience to developers and C&I installers
  • Demonstrably strong negotiation and influencing skills; commercially astute.
  • Entrepreneurial personality with a hands-on attitude.
  • Demonstrates strategic vision and planning capabilities.
  • Understands, with clarity, key internal/external business and technical issues
  • Quantitative and results driven professional who can adapt to rapidly changing environments
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • 30-50% travel

The base pay range for this position is $190,000 to $264,600 per year . This salary range may be modified in the future. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, education or training, work location, and market conditions. This position is also eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
