The 3D Scene Team Lead will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D scene objects using software like 3DsMax and ZBRUSH, ensuring fidelity to original art. This role involves restoring artistic atmosphere in levels, optimizing performance, and collaborating with various departments to achieve superior in-game visuals. Key responsibilities include managing outsourcing, ensuring quality control of models and textures, and sharing knowledge to enhance team capabilities. Candidates should have an art background, strong 3D modeling and texturing skills, and significant experience in scene production and level design, particularly with Unity.
Must have:
  • Create 3D scene objects using 3DsMax, ZBRUSH, ensuring model accuracy.
  • Restore original art atmosphere in level creation, adding personal insights.
  • Optimize levels based on project metrics for visual effects and performance.
  • Communicate with product, art, and programming teams for 3D scene presentation.
  • Organize outsourcing plans, manage quality of models and textures.
  • Collect and share project development information to enhance team skills.
  • Art-related major with aesthetic and basic aesthetic logic knowledge.
  • Proficient in mainstream 3D software (3DsMax, ZBRUSH) and 3D modeling.
  • Proficient in texture creation software (Substance Designer, Painter, Photoshop).
  • Over 4 years of scene model production experience, familiar with PBR.
  • Over 6 years of level design/editing experience, proficient in Unity.
  • Clear thinking, good problem analysis and solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
Good to have:
  • Proficiency in UE engine
  • Ability to formulate work plans and strategies
  • Organizational and management experience

Job Description

1. According to the original art settings, use mainstream 3D software such as 3DsMax, ZBRUSH, etc., to create 3D scene objects that meet project standards, ensuring model accuracy matches the original art.

2. Restore the original art atmosphere effect in level creation, incorporating personal insights and highlight designs, so that the overall level effect is not inferior to competitors.

3. Optimize levels according to project standard indicators (e.g., model polygon count, material texture rationality, etc.), ensuring a balance between optimal visual effects and performance, and implementing the optimization plan.

4. Communicate effectively with product, art, programming, and other departments, coordinating various demands to ensure the final presentation of 3D scenes in the game is not weaker than competitors, and jointly solving various problems in the project.

5. Organize outsourcing plans according to project requirements, work closely with the outsourcing team, control the quality of high, medium, and low poly models and textures, provide precise feedback to suppliers in a timely manner according to outsourcing production specifications, and ensure outsourcing results meet project expectations.

6. Collect and integrate information from project development, summarize practical experience into documentation, and share it within the team to enhance the team's overall professional skills and project implementation capabilities.

Job Requirements

1. Art-related major, systematically studied aesthetic and basic aesthetic logic knowledge, with in-depth understanding and comprehension of realistic fantasy scene styles.

2. Proficient in mainstream 3D software (3DsMax, ZBRUSH, etc.), possessing solid 3D modeling skills.

3. Proficient in texture creation software (Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Photoshop, etc.), capable of independently completing high-quality material texture drawing.

4. Over 4 years of experience in scene model production, familiar with PBR production processes, rich experience and mature techniques in different style scene expression, and strong texture drawing ability.

5. Over 6 years of experience in level design/editing, proficient in using Unity engine, and proficiency in UE engine is a plus.

6. Clear thinking, possessing good problem analysis and solving skills, capable of proposing practical scene optimization solutions and ensuring their effective implementation.

7. Possessing excellent communication and coordination skills and teamwork spirit, capable of efficient collaboration in cross-departmental teams to promote smooth project progress.

8. Candidates with the ability to formulate work plans and strategies are preferred; those with certain organizational and management experience have an advantage in team collaboration and project advancement.
