Sodexo is seeking a Catering Supervisor to oversee and manage on-site retail operations and lead a catering team. This role requires a passionate hospitality supervisor with strong communication, people management, and business acumen. The ideal candidate will manage daily operations, including sales, inventory, and customer service, while building client relationships. Responsibilities also include leading and developing a diverse workforce, identifying operational improvements, and ensuring compliance with HACCP and HSE requirements. The position involves a 14/7 11-hour day roster with FIFO/DIDO to NSW Snowy Mountains, with flights, accommodation, and meals provided on site.
Must have:
  • Manage high performing catering teams
  • Manage day-to-day retail operations including sales, inventory, customer service, marketing, and customer interactions
  • Build and strengthen client relationships while delivering outstanding customer service
  • Lead, develop, and manage a diverse workforce ensuring they understand role and can meet performance objectives
  • Identify areas for improvement and utilise systems, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency of village operations
  • Be familiar with HACCP compliance and remote site HSE requirements
  • Proven ability to negotiate, influence, listen, guide, and interact effectively with all stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of HR processes and cultural competence
  • Strong people management skills and proven ability to build and support team cohesion
  • Excellent computer, compliance, and reporting skills

If you’re looking to be part of a friendly, close-knit, customer-centric team, we have an opportunity for a Catering Supervisor to oversee and manage on site retail operations and lead our catering team. We want you to bring your passion for safety and people management to our team!

The ideal candidate will be willing to do FIFO from Sydney FIFO or Canberra DIDO to NSW Snowy Mountains, working on a 14/7 11hour day roster. There will be flights ex Sydney, accommodation, and meals included whilst on site.

Who are we looking for?

Reporting to the General Manager you will play a vital role in the successful running of village operations. As the Village Manager you will be a skilled communicator with proven people management, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Key focus:

  • Managing high performing catering teams
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of a retail business, including managing sales, inventory, customer service, marketing, and customer interactions
  • Build and strengthen client relationships while delivering outstanding customer service
  • Lead, development and manage a diverse work force ensuring they understand role and can meet performance objectives
