Job Description

The CDL Driver's primary role is to transport parts between the production plant and the finished goods warehouse. This position involves loading and unloading trailers, assisting with customer truck loading, and managing shipment pulling, staging, and labeling. Key responsibilities include operating material handling equipment, ensuring accurate receipt and shipment transactions, maintaining good housekeeping, and adhering to all material transaction and quality procedures. The driver is also responsible for ensuring correct shipping documents and timely ASN submission, while supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Must have:
  • Move parts from production plant to finished goods warehouse.

Job Details

Responsibilities & Opportunities

Main responsibility is to move parts from production plant to finished goods warehouse. They are also responsible for helping load/unload trailer at both places. They may also have to help load customer trucks as needed and pull, stage and label shipments if needed. Responsible for receipt and shipment transactions.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Operates material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage locations. Must have current CDL license and physical

2. Unload/load materials from freight trucks into the shipping/receiving department and put into correct location.

3. Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping practices within the material distribution channels

4. Responsible for support of continuous improvement efforts

5. Responsible for following procedures for all material transactions, labeling practices, and quality of work

6. Ensures shipping documents are correct and accurate

7. Sends ASN within allocated customers’ time frame

8. Advise management of any event that threatens the timely quality delivery of products

Preferred Skills

  • Education required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience required: 1-3 years experience in related field
  • Professional license or certificate requirements: Fork Truck Operators Certification, CDL License
  • Specific skills, knowledge and abilities required: Knowledge of metric system, computer terminal literate, able to safely operate forklift and typical warehouse equipment, able to read and write accurately.
