The Client Executive - Financial and Professional Risks role at Marsh involves managing a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring excellent customer service and communication. The role also requires leading and developing a team of Risk Advisors, Brokers, and administrative staff. Responsibilities include implementing renewal strategies, maintaining client relationships, and pursuing revenue generation. The ideal candidate will have experience in account management within the insurance or risk management industry. They will also have strong leadership skills and knowledge of liability insurance classes. The role is hybrid, requiring at least three days a week in the office.
Must have:
  • Proven experience in account management within the insurance/risk management industry.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of liability insurance, specifically D&O, Professional Indemnity, and Cyber.
  • Professional accreditation such as QPIB status and relevant insurance qualifications.
Good to have:
  • Experience in managing complex claims and developing effective claims management strategies.
  • A track record of exceeding revenue and profitability targets.
  • Participation in professional development programs related to leadership, management, and project management.
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to build relationships with insurers at a senior level.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on business growth opportunities.

Description:

Marsh is seeking candidates for the position of Client Executive – Financial and Professional Risks.

We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our FinPro team at Marsh. This role will be based in the South Island.  This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This role will suit an experienced account manager within the insurance or risk management industry.  

We will count on you to:

  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring high-quality customer service and effective communication with clients.

  • Lead and develop Risk Advisors, Brokers, and administrative staff through delegation, performance management, and regular feedback.

  • Implement and monitor renewal and broking strategies to meet service standards and maximize account profitability.

  • Maintain strong relationships with key client decision-makers and monitor changes within client organizations to ensure retention and development.

  • Actively pursue revenue generation opportunities and contribute to the achievement of team business plans and objectives.

What you need to have:

  • Proven experience in account management within the insurance or risk management industry.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

  • In-depth knowledge of major classes of liability insurance, in particular Directors & Officers, Professional Indemnity and Cyber.

  • Professional accreditation such as QPIB status and relevant insurance qualifications.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
