Mercer is seeking a Senior Investment Solutions Consultant to lead a team of consultants and analysts, driving investment strategy and client engagement within the Institutional Wealth segment. This hybrid role, based in Auckland or Wellington, involves managing client allocation, overseeing service delivery, providing expert investment advice, and driving business growth through market leadership and new business development. The consultant will also build client service disciplines and collaborate with internal teams.

Must Have:
  • Manage client allocation and oversee service delivery to investment solutions clients.
  • Provide expert investment advice (strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection, and performance monitoring).
  • Drive business growth through market leadership, client relationship management, and new business development.
  • Build and maintain client service disciplines for the delegated solutions business.
  • Collaborate across internal teams including operations, portfolio management, and other key stakeholders to support business objectives.
  • Bachelor or Honours degree, ideally with CFA qualification.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in investment management or related fields.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and client relationships.
  • Advanced knowledge of investments—both theory and practical applications.
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to promote Mercer’s value proposition to clients and prospects.
