Job Description

The Client Relationship Director will drive profitable growth by understanding business implications and anticipating client needs. This role involves leading complex client projects, expanding relationships, and generating new sales. Responsibilities include establishing vendor relationships, identifying operational improvements, and contributing to product development. The director will also manage financial requirements, ensure revenue recognition, and mentor team members, playing a key role in talent management and overall account profitability.

  • Establish carrier/vendor relationships to serve clients.
  • Generate new sales through existing clients and referrals.
  • Introduce Mercer EH&B products and services to new clients.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to product development.
  • Take ownership of internal and external financial requirements.
  • Accountable for revenue and profitability for client accounts.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor team members, contributing to talent management.

Job Details

  • Is able to understand the business implications of decisions and what it takes to drive profitable growth. Has strategic understanding of business product/solution. Has the business acumen to anticipate business needs and develop alternative solutions.
  • Leads large/complicated client teams’ projects and deadlines by utilizing project management tools. Extends and expand current client relationship and add on new clients. Responsible for establishing necessary carrier/vendor relationships with appropriate contacts to serve clients.
  • Generates new sales through existing clients and client referrals in accordance with the sales plan. Introduces Mercer EH&B products and services to new clients. Provides EH&B Sales Leader with new and expanded business opportunities.
  • Identifies improvement opportunities from process/operation perspective. Plays an active role in product development and operational excellences. Coach team members and contribute to talent management.
  • Takes ownership of both internal and external financial requirements for revenue recognition and compliance. Accountable for revenue/profitability for client accounts.
  • In addition to managing, coaching/mentoring team members, contribute to talent management.
