Job Summary
AnaVation is seeking an experienced mid-level Cloud Developer to design and implement cloud service delivery models and architectural frameworks for PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS. This role involves driving automation with DevSecOps, guiding application migration to the cloud, and ensuring secure, resilient, and cost-optimized solutions. The developer will contribute to a growing team, making a daily impact through innovative solutions.
Must Have
- Develop and maintain cloud service delivery models and architectural frameworks.
- Implement automation for cloud resources following DevSecOps best practices.
- Analyze applications for cloud readiness and recommend migration strategies.
- Assess platforms for deployment into public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Define and implement strategies for failure/recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
- Drive cloud cost optimization activities.
- Design, develop, and implement cloud-native applications; migrate existing applications.
- Debug and troubleshoot cloud stacks and services.
- Ensure high availability and uptime through resilient architectures and monitoring.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 4+ years of experience.
- 4+ years with major cloud service providers (Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Google).
- Experience with development and deployment on private/public cloud or high availability environments.
- Deploying and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure ARMs Templates.
- Implementing and maintaining security best practices for cloud environments.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture.
- Current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain a polygraph.
- Ability to be on-site 5 days a week.
Good to Have
- Experience with cloud-native application design (microservices, containers, serverless).
- Familiarity with containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools for cloud environments (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Stackdriver, ELK/OpenSearch).
- Knowledge of cost management tools and FinOps practices.
- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect).

Description of Task to be Performed:

AnaVation is seeking an experienced mid-level Cloud Developer responsible for designing and implementing cloud service delivery models and the architectural framework to enable Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Data as a Service (DaaS). This role will drive automation using DevSecOps best practices, guide application migration to the cloud, and ensure secure, resilient, and cost-optimized cloud solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain cloud service delivery models and architectural frameworks to support PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS solutions.
- Implement automation for cloud resources following DevSecOps best practices (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, security scanning, etc.).
- Analyze applications and workloads to determine cloud readiness and provide recommendations on migration, refactoring, and deployment strategies.
- Assess and recommend which platforms and applications can move, migrate, and/or be deployed into public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Define and implement strategies for failure/recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery in the cloud.
- Drive cloud cost optimization activities, including right-sizing, licensing considerations, and usage monitoring, and provide benefit analyses of cloud, cloud-agnostic, and on-premise services.
- Design, develop, and implement cloud-native applications; migrate existing on-premises applications to cloud platforms.
- Debug and troubleshoot cloud stacks and services across multiple environments.
- Ensure high availability and uptime by designing resilient architectures and monitoring strategies
Required Qualifications:
- Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline
- Experience: 4+ years
- Required Skills/Certs:
- 4+ years with experience major cloud service providers (i.e.: Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, or Google).
- Experience performing development and deployment activities on a private/public cloud solution or a comparable high availability environment.
- Deploying and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or Azure ARMs Templates.
- Implementing and maintaining security best practices for cloud environments.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and processes
- A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.
