Philips is offering a 6-month paid Co-op opportunity in Project Management in New Kensington, PA, from January to June 2026. This role is for undergraduate students pursuing degrees in Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Engineering sciences. The Co-op will support departmental processes, aid in day-to-day operational tasks, conduct research, analyze data, and assist in report preparation, gaining hands-on experience in a HealthTech company.
Must have:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering sciences
  • Completed at least 1 year of university coursework and/or have previous internship/co-op experience
  • Eager to learn new technologies, collaborate with a team, and contribute to meaningful projects
  • Ability to successfully perform minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements

Are you interested in an Co-op opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) degree to participate in 6 month paid intern opportunities at our site in New Kensington Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.

Your role:

  • Aids in the management of a dedicated departmental support process which has a direct impact on Philips' med-tech products (e.g. production processes within Manufacturing) by collaborating with different stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, demonstrating great inter-personal and communication skills. (Detail elements of the team and stakeholders for this role)
  • Supports the day-to-day activities of a dedicated department, typically involving hands-on, operational tasks essential for maintaining production flow, ensuring product quality, managing inventory, providing technical support etc. to meet dynamic environment and continuous improvement goals, exercising autonomy within established procedures.
  • Conducts research on relevant topics and areas as requested by the manager/supervisor by investigating current trends, industry best practices and competitive landscape to provide comprehensive insights and support the strategic direction of ongoing projects and initiatives.
  • Analyzes data related to departmental projects as requested by the manager/supervisor, identifying significant trends, patterns, and anomalies, and delivering actionable recommendations that drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Assists in preparation and presentation of reports or findings for internal and external stakeholders as required by manager/supervisor, ensuring that all findings are presented with utmost accuracy and clarity.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 to $29.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Additional Information

US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to New Kensington.
