Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a team at the manufacturing and development site for electronic toothbrushes and other dental products in the Philips Sonicare line. This role involves coaching employees, assigning responsibilities, and optimizing manufacturing performance across safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency. The supervisor will also develop financial forecasts, ensure adherence to work instructions, and implement Lean methodologies and New Product Introduction processes.

Must Have

  • Supervise and guide a compact team of skilled direct reports.
  • Develop comprehensive financial forecasts and annual operating plans.
  • Maximize manufacturing performance by optimizing safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Provide thorough training to operators in production processes and Health & Safety protocols.
  • Ensure strict adherence to specifications and requirements in work instructions and tools.
  • Actively implement Lean project methodologies and integrate New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
  • Acquired 4+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Site overseeing a production line.
  • Skills include Environment Health and Safety, Manufacturing Principles, Quality Monitoring, Continuous Improvement and Supply Chain Management.
  • Bachelor's Degree/Vocational Education in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Production Engineering or equivalent.

Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the manufacturing and development site for electronic toothbrushes and other dental products used in our Philips Sonicare line and other oral care products. In this Production Supervisor role, you are responsible for leading a team where you will be coaching employees and assigning responsibilities to production employees and supervisors.

Your role:

  • Supervises and guides a compact team of skilled direct reports, ensuring their productivity and effectiveness in executing tasks with precision and efficiency.
  • Develops comprehensive financial forecasts and annual operating plans to strategically guide financial decisions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Maximizes manufacturing performance by meticulously optimizing key metrics such as safety, quality, productivity, equipment utilization, cost of non-quality, and overall efficiency, thereby enhancing operational effectiveness and streamlining production processes.
  • Provides thorough and ongoing training to operators in production processes and Health & Safety protocols, prioritizing their competence and safety while executing tasks.
  • Ensures strict adherence to specifications and requirements in work instructions and tools utilized throughout the production process, maintaining consistency and accuracy.
  • Actively implements Lean project methodologies and facilitates the seamless integration of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes to streamline operations, drive efficiency, and foster continuous improvement.

  • You’ve acquired 4+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Site overseeing a production line (This role is a people leader).
  • Your skills include Environment Health and Safety, Manufacturing Principles, Quality Monitoring, Continuous Improvement and Supply Chain Management (SCM).
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree/Vocational Education in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Production Engineering or equivalent and a preferably Lean Leadership Training/Certification or equivalent.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in California is $63,000 to $108,800

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Ontario, CA.
