We are now looking for a Commercial Manager, Football to join our growing team. This role is central to how we build, nurture, and grow our relationships with some of the most influential organisations in world football. You’ll work closely with governing bodies, leagues, and clubs, ensuring their satisfaction, identifying opportunities for growth, and delivering best-in-class service.

Role Overview:

As Commercial Manager, Football, you’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of key clients, ensuring we not only meet their needs but consistently exceed expectations. You’ll develop account strategies, manage the renewal and bid process, and work cross-functionally with colleagues in product, operations, finance, and legal to deliver tailored solutions. You’ll also play a key role in spotting opportunities to expand our partnerships and drive commercial growth.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building long-term relationships, is commercially astute, and has a genuine passion for sport and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted partner.
  • Growth & Retention: Develop account plans that drive renewals, upsells, and cross-sell opportunities, ensuring we meet revenue targets.
  • Strategic Alignment: Work closely with senior stakeholders to align client activity with ’s wider commercial strategy.
  • Bids & Contracts: Lead on renewal bids and RFP responses, preparing proposals, pricing models, and presentations. Negotiate contracts in collaboration with legal and finance.
  • Insights & Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity, feeding back insights to internal teams.
  • Client Advocacy: Champion the voice of the customer within , ensuring client feedback informs our products and services.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key metrics such as revenue, satisfaction, and engagement, and provide regular reporting.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in account management or a similar client-facing role, preferably in the sports technology or related industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Desirable:

  • Ability to understand technical products and services and effectively communicate their value to clients.
